Oeko-Tex® is an international, non-government organization consisting of independent research and test institutes. Oeko-Tex has established a comprehensive set of standards to ensure that clothing is produced an environmentally friendly and socially responsible manner that pose no risk to human health. 

The globally recognised Oeko-Tex 100 Standard was introduced, giving consumers reassurance about their choice of textile products.  Oeko-Tex® provides the standards and the tests necessary to screen textiles for substances that include:

Cancer causing dyes synthetic compounds and allergy-inducing dyestuffs Illegal substances such as carcinogenic colourants Legally regulated substances such as formaldehyde, plasticizers, heavy metals or pentachlorophenol Substances which according to current knowledge are harmful to health, but which are not yet regulated or prohibited by law such as pesticides, allergenic dyes or tin-organic compounds Parameters such as colour fastness and a skin-friendly pH-value, which are precautionary measures to safeguard consumer health.

There are different sub classes to the testing according to the use of the end product. The closer the skin contact of a product, the stricter the requirements to be met are. Bebe Luxe bamboo fabric has been certified Product Class 1, which is the highest class available resulting in the safest standard for babies and children.

Please always hand wash your scarf in cold water with a gentle detergent. Dry flat in the shade, because the bamboo fabric has stretch if you hang it from the line it will stretch out of shape due to the weight of material when wet. You can iron on a low setting but since bamboo is wrinkle resistant Just lay flat or fold nicely and the wrinkles will sort themselves out. Please remember do not soak, do not bleach and do not tumble dry!

Any product purchased from bebe luxe may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase if new, unworn/unwashed condition. In cases of workmanship or material defects, which we hope never happen, a replacement will be granted within 14 days of purchase upon review of defect photos.
